Sony is planning much more for Gaikai than just games.

A few days ago we reported about how Sony bought Gaikai for $380 million. Now Sony is talking a bit more about their plans to use Gaikai – and it doesn’t just involve video games.

Sony Computer Entertainment’s Andrew House talked with The Wall Street Journal about how they’ll be expanding Gaikai’s technology to other parts of their business.

It’s recognition on Sony’s part that the cloud and cloud streaming technologies are going to have profound and possibly a very positive impact on not only our game business, but also in the way our consumers interact with and obtain content in general

Of course, the company will initially focus solely on streaming video games to PlayStation players across the world.
