Sony’s next generation PlayStation has started development since 2010.

Development of the PS4 apparently began in 2012, according to a former Sony research and development employee’s LinkedIn page. On his page, it states that they have been working on the “next generation PlayStation”. Given this it might mean we won’t see a PS4 until 2013 earliest, maybe later than that. It would definitely give both Nintendo and Microsoft a heads up to start next generation.
