3DS Digital Releases Include Heavy Hitters, KH3D, Epic Mickey And More
Nintendo talked a great deal about how the 3DS will start to get digital copies along side retail copies for “most” of their 3DS line up. That certainly rings true when looking at the scheduled releases for digital and retail so far, with Paper Mario Sticker Star, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon and New Super Mario Bros. 2 all getting simultaneous digital releases.
Third parties seem to be on board as well, with titles like Kingdom Hearts 3D, Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate and Scribblenauts Unlimited joining Nintendo’s heavy hitter first party releases. All of these titles are set to hit in the second half of 2012.
This coincides with Nintendo’s vision of offering titles digitally and at retail for both the 3DS and the Wii U.
